DuFauna is owned and operated by the designer Sverrir Sigurdarson. Sverrir has been designing from young age in various fields, and has been creating fashion and related designs for many years. He was a student in Iceland's premier art school, and took some courses as well, but is otherwise self taught in his craft.

Currently, Sverrir has two designer brands that are active. Those are DuFauna, on this website, with designs inspired by dogs, pets and animals. Sverrir draws the animal images by hand using images, and creates all the designs. Sverrir also owns and operates Look: Viking!, a brand that is inspired by the Viking Age. Those designs are based on patterns found on actual artistic objects from the Viking age, that were excavated in archaeological digs. Being an Icelander, Sverrir can present his lineage going all the way back to Ragnar Lothbrok and Bjorn Ironside, who are well known from the TV drama series The Vikings.
